Tyler Perry isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
According to Deadline, the multi-hyphenated director-producer has set his first project under his newly launched production studio, Peachtree & Vine, with former Lionsgate marketing executive Tim Palen.
Tentatively titled, Whitney, the new film is described as a psychological thriller about the “profound power of memory and monuments in the Deep South.
“We loved this story right from the pitch,” said Perry and Palen in a joint statement. “It’s culturally relevant, smart and very provocative – all qualities we look for in the projects we want to partner on.”
