Warner Bros. PicturesWesley Snipes has a special message for major studios looking to reboot his 1991 classic film New Jack City fans: Let Nino Brown rest in peace.
In an interview with Shadow and Act, Snipes says he wants no part of the rumored Warner Brothers remake of the flick, in which he starred as the notorious drug kingpin Nino Brown.
“I’m not associated with it, you know. I’m have nothing to do with it at all,” Snipes said of the remake, noting that the film centered on a specific aspect the culture at that time — something that wouldn’t necessarily make sense today.
