Paul Natkin/WireImageSinqua Walls, best known for his roles in Power and The Breaks, stars as ‘ate, legendary Soul Trainhost Don Cornelius in the trailer for the new BET series, American Soul, which dropped today. The series will tell the story of how Cornelius created the iconic music and dance show.
In the clip, we see Walls as Cornelius taping an episode with the Soul Train dancers. We also see Kelly Rowland as Gladys Knight, singing her classic with the Pips, “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
Kelly Price also stars in the ten-episode series. Jesse Collins, who produced The New Edition Story, and The Bobby Brown Story, is the show’s producer. American Soul will premiere in February 2019 on BET.
