The Weeknd premieres trailer for his first movie, 'Uncut Gems'

Image Group LA/ABCThe Weeknd premiered the trailer for his first movie, Uncut Gems, on Tuesday.

“LET’S GO! couldn’t have asked for a better film to debut some acting,” the Canadian singer tweeted.

The “Call Out My Name” singer appears as himself in the crime thriller starring Adam Sandler, who plays a New York City jewelry store owner who’s drowning in debt after losing a fortune in sports betting. NBA legend Kevin Garnett also stars in the film.

Uncut Gems opens on Christmas Day, December 25.
