SZA releases statement following music leak: “Def not new new!”

SZA is setting the record straight about her alleged album leak. 

Thursday night, an album titled Comethru appeared on Spotify and Apple Music that featuring nine unreleased SZA tunes, one of which included a guest spot from Kendrick Lamar.  But it’s not exactly brand-new material.

According to the “Love Galore” singer, the leaked songs are recordings from three years ago. Taking to Instagram, SZA addressed the faux album, writing: “These are random scratches from 2015. Def not new new! But… creative? And scary?”

“Lol HEARD U THO…I SWEAR the new is coming,” she continued, assuring her fans.
