Starting pitcher Ranger Suárez agrees to 5-year, $130 million deal with Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox have signed left-handed starting pitcher Ranger Suárez to a five-year, $130 million contract. According to ESPN, the deal is fully guaranteed with no deferrals, opt-outs, or no-trade protection. Suárez, 30, arrives in Boston after spending the first eight seasons of his major-league career with the Philadelphia Phillies. A former reliever, he transitioned into a full-time rotation role in 2022 and quickly developed into one of the National League’s most dependable starters.
