Snoop Dogg to be honored at City of Hope's annual charity event, Songs of Hope

ABC/Randy HolmesSnoop Dogg is adding an impressive accolade to his ever-growing resume. 

City of Hope, an independent research and treatment center for life-threatening diseases, has announced that the rap veteran will be honored during its annual Songs of Hope charity event. Snoop is set to receive the Sony ATV Music Publishing Social Leadership Award on September 19 in Sherman Oaks, California.

The I Wanna Thank Me lyricist will join a star-studded roster of previously announced honorees, including producer Boi-1da, songwriter Diane Warren, Tierra Whack, Hayley Kiyoko and The Dream.
