Seattle Mariners’ first baseman Josh Naylor signs five-year, $92.5 million extension

The Seattle Mariners have signed first baseman Josh Naylor on a five-year, $92.5 million contract, the team announced, making him the club’s top early-offseason acquisition and the first major free-agent signing of the winter. The deal, which runs through 2030, includes a full no-trade clause and follows Naylor’s physical earlier in the day. Naylor, 28, joined Seattle at last season’s trade deadline and quickly became a central piece of the lineup and clubhouse. An All-Star in 2024 with Cleveland before being traded to Arizona, Naylor has hit .269 with 104 home runs and 435 RBIs across seven MLB seasons.
