A new music video has been released on what would have been King Von‘s 28th birthday. On Tuesday, August 9, the rapper’s estate dropped the visual for “Get it Done” featuring OMB Peezy, one of 19 songs on his posthumous album, What It Means to Be King.

The video sees Von and Peezy meet up as a group of guys in the area plot to attack them. A few steps ahead, the observant duo manages to drive away in a Maserati before the men can act.

Von and Peezy are then captured flaunting wads of cash in the car and rapping their lyrics in what appears to be a remote building.

Von was hard at work before he was shot and killed outside of an Atlanta nightclub on November 6, 2020. He was celebrating the release of his debut album, Welcome to O’Block, just moments before the tragic shooting.

After he passed, his estate released What It Means to Be King, which included collaborations with G Herbo21 SavageFivio ForeignTee GrizzleyLil DurkMoneybagg Yo and Dreezy. He reportedly had over 200 unreleased songs at the time of his death.

Megan Thee Stallion teases upcoming project: “It's almost that time”

If you’re wondering when Megan Thee Stallion is going to drop some new music, the rapper says “it’s almost that time.” To hype fans for what’s to come, she dropped a cinematic teaser titled Traumazine.

Set at a funeral, the trailer captures Meg donning all black as she first walks through a crowd of people also dressed in all-black attire and straight to a casket, where she places some flowers. That’s followed by Meg dressed all in white; she stops halfway down the aisle and looks up to the camera. The clip then comes to a close and the word “Traumazine” is displayed on the screen.

Fans may recognize the term, which Megan previously defined as “the chemical released in the brain when it is forced to deal with painful emotions caused by traumatic events and experiences.” It’s not clear whether the word is the name of an upcoming album or single, but she’s been alluding to an entire body of art the last few days.

In Instagram Stories shared earlier this month, Meg wrote, “So happy abt my album. It’s finished,” adding, “It’s honest, it’s me, it’s real” and “it’s for the hotties.”

More recently, she said the album, which features “some of the BADDEST women,” has her jerking “between feeling mean af and sexy af.”

No release date has been set, but fans can watch Meg’s newly released LA Leakers freestyle in the meantime.

Fat Joe on Irv Gotti rehashing alleged relationship with Ashanti: “I don't need to know”

(NOTE LANGUAGE) Fat Joe is confused by Irv Gotti‘s decision to dish details about his alleged romance with label signee Ashanti. In an Instagram Live Monday, he questioned the record executive’s need to rehash his bond with the singer on Drink Champs.

“Whatever Irv has with Ashanti is 20 years old,” he said. “I know he was making some points that mean a lot to him, his heart and soul, but when you keep ranting about somebody 20 years later, it felt like he’s not over the young lady.

“Also, we didn’t know that they was f******. ‘Cause the whole time, I’m there!” Joe continued. “‘What’s Luv,’ Big Pun record, on tour — I never seen them together like that. Now I’m not saying they wasn’t; they was, or there was rumors they was. I never seen it. But I don’t need to know!”

In the interview, Irv Gotti is seen opening up about his and Ashanti’s past bond, including the time he found out she was dating rapper Nelly. Clips of the chat have been met with dissent from those, like Fat Joe, who were left with a bad taste in their mouth.

The Bronx rapper was also disappointed in Ja Rule for failing to stand up for Ashanti, with whom he’s worked on “Mezmerize,” “Always on Time” and more. Ja later released a statement in which he claimed he did defend the singer.

“STOP saying I didn’t defend sis and all women when I clearly told Gotti stop calling Ashanti/women the B word same way I told Joe at Verzuz watch the interview before you talk sh**…,” he wrote. “NOW LEAVE ME TF OUT THESE GROWN FOLK BUSINESSES…”
