Jill Scott responds to Twitter explosion following her onstage sex act simulation
ABC/Randy HolmesAfter Twitter exploded with shocked reactions to a video of Jill Scottsimulating a sex act during a recent concert, the three-time Grammy winner has responded.
In the video, the 46-year-old singer gives a visual interpretation of her very erotic song “Crown Royal,” from her 2007 album, The Real Thing-Words & Sounds Vol. 3. The song begins, “Your hands on my hips pull me right back to you/I catch that thrust, give it right back to you/You’re in so deep, I’m breathing for you/
You grab my braids, arch my back high for you.”
On person tweeted that Scott performed “air sex” with her microphone. And Scott is making no apologies.
“I sing/act out all kinds of stories. You should c*m to my shows,” Scott responded on Twitter. “After a Jill Scott show, most people get splendidly laid by whoever they came with. They also usually go on 2happier, more productive, focused, wealthy lives.”
One person agreed that Scott’s concerts definitely inspire lust in the bedroom, writing, “Jill’s not lyin’….. After we hear Jill sing, it’s on.”

Calgary, Alberta residents vote against hosting 2026 Winter Olympics
iStock/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Who wouldn’t want to host the 2026 Winter Olympics? A lot of places, it turns out.
Calgary, Alberta on Tuesday became the fourth city to turn down the opportunity after its residents voted down a bid for the games, CTV reports. The city last hosted the Winter Olympics in 1988.
“We were all hoping for a yes vote tonight,” Mayor Naheed Nenshi said, according to CTV. “But ultimately, the people have spoken. They’ve spoken in big numbers, and the people have spoken clearly.”
While he may be disappointed, Nenshi said he will act according to his constituents’ wishes.
“We saw a clear number, we saw a big voter turnout, and for me, that means that I ultimately take my direction from the citizens,” he said.
Earlier this year, cities in Japan, Austria and Switzerland also withdrew their bids.

The Revolution's Brown Mark remembers Prince: “I don’t think since Mozart there’s ever gonna be anybody else”
The Prince Estate. Photographer Nancy Bundt
It’s been two-and-a-half years since Prince passed away, and for Brown Mark, the bass player of the band The Revolution, which recorded the Purple Rain soundtrack, Prince was the greatest musician of our time.
Mark was amazed by how Prince, best known as a guitarist and pianist, could play several instruments at the highest level.
“I’ve never seen anyone grab your instrument and show you how to do something. He had the ability to play everything, and if he wanted to tweak something, or whatever he wanted to do, he could come right over and he could show you what he’s hearing,” the 56-year-old musician says.
“‘Here, let me have that bass,’ and he would show me. He was a phenomenal musician,” Mark continues. “I don’t think since Mozart there’s ever gonna be anybody else. Not in our generation.”
Mark says that not only was Prince the consummate musician, he was also one of the most versatile vocalists.
“He could sing in two different styles,” Mark remembers. “He’d hit this falsetto like the old Smokey Robinson and Verdine White. He could hit that, but then he could go to this baritone and this real deep thing.”
In addition to recording Purple Rain and appearing with Prince in the film, The Revolution also recorded three more albums with Prince in the ’80s: 1999, Around the World in a Day and Parade. Along with Brown Mark on bass, The Revolution includes guitarist Wendy Melvoin, drummer Bobby Z, and two keyboard players — Lisa Coleman and Dr. Fink.
The Revolution recently wrapped up its fall tour, and will end the year with Texas shows in Austin, Houston and Dallas on December 29, 30 and 31.

Former Browns coach Jackson to assist Bengals' coach Lewis on defensive duties
Phil Ellsworth / ESPN(CINCINNATI) — The third time might be the charm for former Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson. For the third time, Jackson is returning to Cincinnati, where he’ll be special assistant to Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, ESPN reports.
Lewis said Tuesday in a statement that he has “a great comfort level with Hue,” and suggested Jackson could most assist him on game days, specifically with opponent analysis and defense. The Bengals have just fired defensive coordinator Teryl Austin after the team’s recent 51-14 loss to the New Orleans Saints.
For his part, Jackson said he is “pleased” to be onboard with the Bengals, and “[looks] forward to doing my part to help it finish strong this season.”
But some believe the Bengals’ decision to acquire Jackson is no coincidence, with the Bengals and Browns scheduled to face off twice in the remainder of the season. They’ll play Nov. 25 in Cincinnati and on Dec. 23 in Cleveland.
ESPN highlights tweets by Browns cornerback Damarious Randall Tuesday.

“In other words Hue we play the [Browns] twice tell us what you know,” Randall tweeted.
On Monday, Lewis responded to questions about his plans for defensive plays going forward, saying, “I’ve got a plan,” according to ESPN. Regarding plans for Jackson to join the Bengals, Lewis simply replied, “Watch and see.”
The Bengals have not revealed details about the length or terms of Jackson’s contract.
