Nipsey Hussle’s legacy inspires The Marathon Book Club

Simon & SchusterThe memory of the late Nipsey Hussle lives on nine months after his death through some of his favorite books.

The Marathon Book Club, named after Nipsey’s 2010 mixtape, The Marathon, meets once a month in Oakland, New York City, Washington, D.C., and his hometown, Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The 76 members in the four cities include professors, entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and investment bankers.

The club was inspired by a list of books Nipsey loved that was tweeted by a fan two weeks after he was fatally shot on March 31, 2019 outside of his Marathon Clothing store in LA.
