Nelly weighs in on the Super Bowl halftime controversy: “I don't see the big deal”

ABC/Paula LoboDespite the controversy surrounding this year’s Super Bowl halftime show, Nelly is one artist who doesn’t necessarily see “the big deal.”

Thursday, the rap phenom shared his thoughts on the coveted event with TMZ as he was leaving LAX.

“What people have to understand, if you’re really against the NFL, the halftime show is not what you should be concerned about,” he told TMZ’s cameraman. “ don’t get paid through the halftime show.”

“If you’re trying to make a stand against the NFL, you should probably not watch it on Sunday or you should not go to the games. The halftime show is irrelevant,” he added.
