Hot on the heels of her Nicki Minaj collab “Hot Girl Summer,” Megan Thee Stallion has tapped another one of rap’s leading ladies for her next anthem.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the Fever rapper revealed she’s prepping a new single with fellow Houston native Lizzo.
“I know, y’all didn’t think we were twerking and fooling for no reason!,” Megan told ET, referring to a series of Instagram posts showing the two artists living their best life, drinking cognac and dancing to classical flute tunes.
“That was practice,” she added before mentioning that she can’t wait for fans to hear the forthcoming collab.
“It’s amazing already,” she gushed. “[We’re] just two Texas girls and we just had a really good time.”
As Megan continues to climb the charts and set records with her Minaj-assisted single, Lizzo is set to take the stage at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards later this month. The “Truth Hurts” lyricist joins Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Lil Nas X, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, and Rosali on the lineup of performers for the August 26 telecast.
