Meek Mill says he apologized to Vanessa Bryant over his controversial Kobe Bryant lyric

Miller MobleyMeek Mill has been in the hot seat for the past week, ever since he mentioned the death of the late Kobe Bryant in an unreleased song featuring Lil Baby. “And if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe,” raps Meek.

Fans were upset over the leaked song, which arrived just over a year after the NBA legend, his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, and seven others lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash on Jan. 26, 2020.

On Monday, Bryant’s wife, Vanessa took to her Instagram story to call out the Philly rapper for his “insensitive and disrespectful” lyrics.

“Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful.
