UniversalJustin Timberlake is turning up the soundtrack to the Trolls animated sequel soundtrack by bringing the funk with Mary J. Blige, SZA, Anderson .Paak and George Clinton.
Timberlake executive-produced the Trolls soundtrack in 2016, and for the sequel, Trolls World Tour, he’s diversifying the sound, because the plot revolves around various Trolls tribes, all of whom specialize in a specific kind of music: funk, country, pop, rock, techno, and classical.
Blige, Paak and Clinton voice characters in the film in addition to contributing to the soundtrack: They play Queen Essence, Prince D and King Quincy, the Royal Family of the Funk Trolls. Chance the Rapper and Kenan Thompson also lend their voices to the film.
