Chuck Hodes/FOXMario is the latest recording artist to land a multi-episode arc on Empire, and he’s loving his recurring role as a singer named Devon.
“They’re one of the shows that really take the music serious,” Mario tells ABC Radio. “They actually want the show to have good music, and to have artists on the show that actually sing and write music and produce, and all that.”
He continues. “ just makes it more authentic. And my character Devon, I like his story line. He lost his parents. He’s taking care of his sick sister and that’s all he cares about.”
