ABC/Todd WawrychukAfter saying she wouldn’t close the door on reprising her role in an Us sequel, Lupita Nyong’o now says she’s officially not interested in playing either her critically acclaimed character Adelaide Wilson, or Adelaide’s tethered doppleganger Red, in a sequel.
In an interview with Deadline‘s Contenders New York, Nyong’o says it’s one and done for her.
“No thanks,” she said. “Red is dead.”
Nyong’o says the role was just too intense for her to revisit.
