Lupita Nyong'o explores real-life Dora Milaje, Leslie Jones joins 'BMF,' and more

The new documentary Warrior Women with Lupita Nyong’o is set to debut on the Smithsonian Channel on March 28 at 8pm ET/PT. The doc features the Oscar-winning actress journeying across Benin, West Africa to uncover the true story of the women who helped inspire the Dora Milaje in Black Panther. The real-life all-female army fought for powerful kings in the 17th through 19th centuries and were known as the Agoji.

Leslie Jones will be joining the cast of Starz’ BMF for season two. The SNL alum will have a recurring role as the “smart and calculating” Federal Agent
