LL Cool J sues the now-defunct Rock the Bells Festival for trademark infringement

ABC/Randy HolmesLL Cool J is suing a festival with the same name as his 1985 hit “Rock the Bells” —  even though the event has not been held since 2013.

LL is accusing the now-defunct Rock the Bells music festival of trademark infringement, cyber piracy and more for maintaining a website and several social media accounts, according to Billboard.

The Guerilla Division company has held the “Rock the Bells” trademark for live events and merchandise for several years. Last year, LL successfully petitioned that the trademark be canceled, and filed his own trademark registration.  But now the NCIS: LA star claims that the company is continuing to use
