Motown RecordsFollowing a four-year hiatus, Ms. Lauryn Hill is back with new music.
The eight-time Grammy winner’s new track, “Guarding The Gates” is on the Queen & Slim soundtrack, which was released on Friday.
After it was announced that Hill would release a new song on the soundtrack, the executive producer and writer of the film, Lena Waithe, took to Instagram to share her thoughts on the news.
“Honored,” she wrote, captioning a write-up of the announcement, which read, “@MsLaurynHill is set to make an appearance on the upcoming #QueenAndSlim soundtrack.”
As previously noted, the 17-track soundtrack features new music from Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Baby, Vince Staples featuring 6lack X Mereba, Tiana Major 9 & EARTHGANG, Coast Contra featuring BJ
