Listen now: Pharrell Williams and Coldplay release first single from “Global Citizen EP1,” “E-Lo”

ABC/Adam RosePharrell Williams has teamed with the British rock band Coldplay to release the first single from the Global Citizen EP1 called “E-Lo” featuring Jozzy.

Coldplay recorded the song under the pseudonym Los Unidades. The Afro-beat track is one of four songs on the EP which will be released Friday. Proceeds from the EP will support Global Citizen’s campaign to end extreme poverty.

Pharrell will be among the performers at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 concert on December 2 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Trevor Noah will host the event which will also feature Jay-Z, Beyonce, Usher, Naomi Campbell, Gayle King, and Tyler Perry.
