Lil Nas X pulling off the “Old Town Road” to take a little break: “I'll make it up to you some way”

The 20-year-old star announced via Twitter on Friday that he’d be stepping away from the spotlight for awhile, which means he’s canceling two music festival appearances.

“It’s been a wild last 7 months and im ready to take a little time off,” Lil Nas tweeted. “Sorry to everyone attending twitchcon or the sandbox music festival, I will not be there. I love u guys and will make it up to you some way.”

His fans seem totally accepting of his need for some “me”
