Lil' Kim names the legendary rapper who inspired her viral “Quiet Storm” dance

Moses Robinson/Getty Images for BETLegendary rap duo Mobb Deep tapped Lil’ Kim for the 1998 remix of their classic, “Quiet Storm.” Kim’s dance in the video has since become a viral trend on all social platforms, heightened by her 2019 performance at the BET Hip Hop Awards. 

During a recent interview with Sway Calloway, the the hip-hop icon “exclusively” revealed the dance was inspired by another legendary rapper.

“I was a huge Method Man fan and one thing that I always used to say was he had the illest bounce in the game. It was something that Method Man used to always do and I loved that dance,” said Kim. “I did that in honor of him.”
