The Queen & Slim writer revealed on Friday’s The Ellen DeGeneres show that she’s married her longtime partner Alana Mayo.
“We snuck and did it, you know,” she told John Legend, who served as the guest host for the episode. “We didn’t make any announcements.”
Waithe also offered a few details on their nuptials, which she said took place at San Francisco City Hall, a place of extreme importance to the LGBTQ community.
