ABC/Randy HolmesAfter Kanye West hosted listening events for his new gospel album, Jesus Is King, Friday in Detroit and Saturday in Chicago, “Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience” arrived Sunday night at the United Palace Theatre in Manhattan.
“New York City is definitely one of my hometowns,” Kanye told the crowd of 1,000 people, according to Billboard. “I wasn’t fully saved during Coachella. I came to know the truth and joy of Jesus. This album is an expression of the gospel.”
The album did not drop on September 27 which was the original release date, and there is no word on when it will be released.
