Steve Granitz/WireImageLegendary actor John Witherspoon‘s official cause of death has now been revealed.
According to his death certificate, obtained by People, Witherspoon died on October 30 from a heart attack while suffering from coronary artery disease. The certificate also states that Witherspoon, 77, suffered from obesity and hypertension, which contributed to his death.
As previously reported, the Friday star’s home going service last week brought out a star-studded list of guests, including Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, David Letterman, Shawn Wayans and Robert Townsend.
