Def Jam RecordingsJhene Aiko released the remix of her gold-certified track “Triggered (Freestyle)” Wednesday, featuring 21 Savage and Summer Walker. In the track, all three artists reflect on the pain of a past relationship.
The three-time Grammy nominee dropped the original single in May and, as previously reported, she took to Twitter to refute fan speculation that the song was aimed at ex-boyfriend Big Sean.
“‘Triggered’ was a moment. A moment that for me has passed,” Aiko wrote. “It is new to you because you’re just now hearing it, but for me…it’s something I moved on from the moment I expressed it.”
The remix is the second collaboration between Aiko
