Janelle Monae unveils new video for “Crazy Classic Life”

JUCOJanelle Monáe has unveiled the striking standalone music video for her equally eclectic track, “Crazy Classic Life” off her Grammy-nominated album Dirty Computer.

Taking cues from her film project Dirty Computer – An Emotion Picture, the video finds Janelle channeling her inner punk aesthetic. 

The Alan Ferguson directed-clip begins with the singer driving in a hover car accompanied by a friend. While in the midst of their journey, however, they’re stopped by a security bot that examines them to make sure they’re “clean,” before flying off.
