Merie W. Wallace/HBOIssa Rae is taking her talents to the WarnerMedia streaming service HBO Max.
WarnerMedia has announced Rae will executive produce the new comedy series Rap S***. The new half-hour comedy will follow a fictional south Florida female rap group who are attempting to break into the music industry.
In addition executive-producing the project, Rae will also write the series’ pilot.
This is the latest for Rae, who also executive-produces and stars in A Black Lady Sketch Show and Insecure on HBO. She’s also working on the upcoming drama titled Him or Her that will follow a sexually fluid black man.
