The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired veteran third baseman Nolan Arenado from the St. Louis Cardinals in a trade announced Tuesday. The D-backs will receive Arenado along with substantial cash considerations in exchange for 22-year-old right-handed pitching prospect Jack Martinez, an eighth-round selection in the 2025 MLB Draft. Martinez went 6-4 with a 5.47 ERA in 15 starts last season at Arizona State.
