Cardi B celebrates “Up” becoming the highest debuting female rap song since 1998

The single is currently number two and was held off from the top spot by Olivia Rodrigo‘s popular “Drivers License” that extended its lead on Billboard‘s Hot 100 for a fifth straight week.

Cardi is taking the runner-up placement in stride, celebrating the fact that she achieved a feat that hasn’t been witnessed since Lauryn Hill bowed in the Number 2 spot with “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1998.
