Cardi B becomes first woman to hit consecutive No. 1 debuts on Hot R&B/ Hip-Hop chart

Rachel Murray/Getty Images for REVOLVECardi B is enjoying back-to-back number 1 debuts on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs thanks to “WAP” and her new song “Up.”

This officially makes her the first woman to accomplish the feat and is the second artist in history, with Drake being the first, to post two consecutive number 1 debuts as a lead artist.

“WAP,” which featured vocals from Megan Thee Stallion, charged up Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for 10 weeks while “Up” becomes the Grammy Award-winner’s sixth number one on the chart, overall.
