Jarrod AndersonCasanova, who dropped his second album Friday, Behind These Scars, loves being signed to Roc Nation, the company founded by his fellow Brooklyn native, music icon JAY-Z.
“I felt great cause I’m like, that’s Brooklyn, just like Biggie,” Casanova tells ABC Audio. “JAY-Z is like the living Brooklyn, so being signed to him, I was just like, it don’t get no more Brooklyn. It was dope.”
Casanova is repping his borough with his song “So Brooklyn,” featuring another Brooklyn rapper, Fabolous. Numerous artists have responded to his #SoBrooklyn challenge. DMX, Wyclef Jean, Young M.A., Papoose, Memphis Bleek, Freeway and Cassidy have created their own versions using the instrumental track.
