Beyoncé removes Kelis' “Milkshake” sample, Monica Lewinsky wants lyric change for 2013 song

Beyoncé is making some more changes to her new album Renaissance, removing the sample of Kelis‘ “Milkshake” from her new song “Energy.”

The move comes after Kelis called out the “Break My Soul” singer for using the song without letting her know. Even though Kelis was credited on “Energy,” she posted two videos to Instagram expressing that her concern “has to do with the fact that, from one artist to another, you should have the decency and common sense and the courtesy to call.”

Kelis not only called out Beyoncé but also Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, who produced “Milkshake.” Now, it seems she’ll no longer need to worry about it, seeing as
