Beyoncé leads the 2021 NAACP Image Awards nominees

Disney+Beyoncé leads all nominees for the 52nd annual NAACP Image Awards, which were announced Tuesday by Anika Noni Rose, TC Carson, Erika Alexander, P-Valley star Nicco Annan, and grown-ish star Chloe Bailey.

Queen Bey received six nominations, the most for any recording artist, including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Soul/R&B for her 2020 song, “Black Parade.”  Her Disney+ film, Black Is King, landed three nods, including Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album.  Beyoncé also received a nomination for her assistance on Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage” remix.

Other nominees in the Outstanding Female Artist category include Alicia Keys and H.E.R, who received four nominations each, as well as Jazmine Sullivan and Ledisi.

Sibling duo Chloe x Halle also received four nods, while Hit-Boy, the executive producer behind Nas‘ King’s Disease, was nominated for Outstanding Producer of the
