Arizona Cardinals hire Rams OC Mike LaFleur as new head coach

The Arizona Cardinals have hired Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur as their next head coach, officially ending a nearly month-long search. LaFleur, 38, agreed to a five-year contract and replaces Jonathan Gannon, who was dismissed in early January after three consecutive losing seasons, including a 3–14 finish in 2025. It marks Arizona’s third head coaching hire in less than 10 years as the organization looks to reverse a decade of limited success that has produced just one playoff appearance since 2016.
