ModeloAnderson .Paak is performing three benefit shows in November to assist refugees and immigrants. His mother and wife came to America from Asia, and he says their experience inspired him to become involved in the “Fighting Chance” concert series.
“My mom even came from Korea was adopted in the 50s,” the Grammy winner tells ABC Audio. “My wife, you know, I have a bunch of relatives that come from different countries or different backgrounds that have came into America and made something out of themselves.”
The concerts benefit the International Rescue Committee, which provides clean water, shelter, health care, education and empowerment support
