Drake‘s love for his mother is written all over his face. Or, more accurately, tatted on a portion of it. The rapper got some new ink in the form of letters “SG,” his mom’s initials.
In a closeup of the tat, he captioned his mother’s full name, Sandra Gale, alongside a heart emoji. Los Angeles artist NAL also took to his Instagram to share a clip from the tattooing process.
Drake’s new ink is his latest tattoo tribute to a loved one. His previous designs honor Virgil Abloh; his son, Adonis; producer Noah “40” Shebib; Aaliyah; Denzel Washington; Lil Wayne; The Beatles; and his father, Dennis Graham.
Ironically, Drake’s tattoo is located under his left eye — in a similar position as the teardrops on the left side
