Tuesday afternoon, Variety reported that Beyoncé was “in talks” to perform at the upcoming Academy Awards. Late Tuesday night, the Academy confirmed the rumors to be true.
The 28-time Grammy-winning singer will perform her Oscar-nominated, original song “Be Alive,” which is co-written by Roc Nation’s Dixson and featured in the Best Picture-nominated film, King Richard.
It’s still unknown, however, if Beyoncé will perform live at LA’s Dolby Theatre, where the awards will broadcast live.
