University of Central Florida students protest scheduled Tekashi 6ix9ine concert

Frank Hoensch/RedfernsOver 5,000 students at the University of Central Florida have signed a petition calling for the cancellation of a scheduled September 22 Tekashi 6ix9ine concert on the Orlando campus because of his history of child sex abuse charges,

The New York City rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, pleaded guilty in 2015 to a felony of use of a child in a sexual performance, for a video involving a 13-year-old girl.

6ix9ine is set to go on trial October 2 on separate charges of allegedly choking a 16-year-old girl after violating the plea agreement.
