Snoop Dogg buys Death Row Records, label that launched his career 30 years ago

Talk about a full-circle moment!

Snoop Dogg is now the proud owner of Death Row Records, the same label that launched his career three decades ago. He signed with the label in 1993 and dropped his debut album, Doggystyle, before later signing with various other labels, including Def Jam. 

“I am thrilled and appreciative of the opportunity to acquire the iconic and culturally significant Death Row Records brand, which has immense untapped future value,” Snoop said in a statement. “It feels good to have ownership of the label I was part of at the beginning of my career
