Ari Lennox is demanding “to be dropped from the labels”

One week after being nominated for an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Female Artist, Ari Lennox is so frustrated with the music industry, she’s demanding “to be dropped from the labels.”

The “Got Me” singer is signed to J. Cole’s Dreamville label which is distributed by Interscope Records. She also tweeted, “I’m done and tired.” Both messages have since been deleted.

Her public frustration follows an update she provided last week saying she only “needed 4 more songs and the album done.” It’s been nearly three years since Lennox released her debut album, Shea Butter Baby, in 2019. Last week Ari also tweeted
