Brandy says starring in 'Queens' is the role she's been waiting for: “It's all divine”

Brandy has enjoyed a variety of film roles in her 29-year career, including starring in Cinderella with her idol, the late Whitney Houston, and in Double Platinum with Diana Ross. Her television series have included Moesha, The Game and Star. Now, the versatile singer/actress says she’s found her ultimate role in the ABC series Queens.

Brandy remembers she could barely control her excitement when she was offered the role of Naomi in the show about former music stars hoping to rediscover their past success.

“My heart was pumping because I’ve always wanted to do television where I can do everything that I can do in one role,” she tells MadameNoire. “I loved Broadway.
