Megan Thee Stallion cancels Houston concert “out of respect” for the Astroworld Festival victims

Megan Thee Stallion has canceled her scheduled Friday concert in Houston “out of respect for the lives lost” in the Astroworld Festival tragedy. Ten people died, and hundreds were injured in a crowd surge at the event on November 5 at Houston’s NRG Park.

“I have decided to cancel my show at 713 Music Hall on December 3,” the three-time Grammy winner said in a statement to the Houston Chronicle. “Houston is still healing and it’s important that our community be given the appropriate time to grieve.
