Lil Wayne pays homage to DMX and recalls Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour memories

Lil Wayne paid tribute to Earl “DMX” Simmons during his performance at Miami’s Trillerfest on Saturday.

In a video shared by Got That Hip Hop on Instagram, the former Cash Money Records rapper recalled touring with the Ruff Ryders legend on a tour hosted by their record labels in 2000.

“We used to have so many artists, we didn’t have to have no opening acts ’cause we just needed another record label, and it was just us and them. So back then we went on this tour called The Cash Money/Ruff Ryders Tour,” Wayne told the crowd. “Being from New Orleans, it’s so far away from New York
