Tyler Perry returns to Netflix for new film, 'A Jazzman’s Blues'; 'Snowfall' gets renewed for season five

After his last film, A Fall from Grace, Tyler Perry is returning to Netflix for his next film, A Jazzman’s Blues. 

Deadline reports that Joshua Boone and Solea Pfeiffer are on board to join the film. 

Set between 1937 and 1987, A Jazzman’s Blues “follows an investigation into an unsolved murder, unveils a story full of forbidden love, deceit, and a secret that has been held for 40 years,” reports Deadline. 

Produced by Perry, the film serves as a passion project that was written by him as his first screenplay 26 years ago.  “I have waited a quarter of a century to tell this story and now is the perfect time and Netflix is the perfect
