Joey Bada$$ and Diddy's Two Distant Strangers receives Oscar nomination

The 28-minute film, Two Distant Strangers, was executive-produced by Sean “Diddy” Combs.  Inspired by last summer’s protests in the wake of police violence against the Black community, it’s now been nominated for Best Live Action Short Film.

In the movie, Joey plays Carter Jones, a young man who is forced to re-live the deadly day “where he is shot, time after time, by a white cop, no matter what he does.”

On Tuesday, Joey took to Instagram to celebrate the nomination, after taking a slight pause from working on the follow up to 2017’s All-Amerikkkan Bada$$.
