50 Cent and Kenya Barris team up for Netflix's 'The 50th Law' series

Leon Bennett/WireImageCurtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Kenya Barris, two of the most prolific names in television production today, are teaming up to develop a Netflix series based on 50’s best-selling book, The 50th Law.

On Tuesday, the Power executive producer took to Instagram to announce the transformation of his 2009 book into a series, which he predicts will be just as successful as his Power franchise.

“This one is going to be #1 on Netflix. Boom. The 50th Law,” wrote 50 in the caption. “I got the best writers. @kenyabarris know we are not playing no games. Green light gang.”

According to Deadline, 50 will executive produce the potential series based on his semi-autobiographical book, with Barris and Hale Rothstein writing the pilot
