This year, only a handful of black projects and/or actors were nominated for Golden Globes. They include Cynthia Erivo, who received a nod for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for Harriet; Eddie Murphy, who was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for Dolemite Is My Name; Billy Porter, who got a nod for Best Actor
