In an interview on Netflix’s Strong Black Lead podcast, Wayans joked that he “prayed” Bill Cosby demise after the legendary comedian hated on his newly launched sitcom The Wayans Bros., with his brother in 1995.
“We were two young black men that created a show. I was 20, Shawn was, like, 22. You would think we’d get all this support, and we got hammered!” he said. “Everybody hated us! Cosby hated us. Him in jail right now? That was my prayer! That’s what you get for hating The Wayans Bros!”
